When questioned about her love life scandals that could be used by her political nemesis against her during the campaigns, the Wema said she is ready for anything and everything.

“Well about that let’s not forget that I am human being and am bound to make mistakes, but my situations have always been blown out of proportion due to my stature in the society. Remember we are talking about politics and not my love life, these are two different things. One is a personal matter and the other is a national one and all that should be assessed is my capability of representing people of Singida,” she said.

Profesa Jay, the other bongo artiste seeking to transition into politics, will be vying for Mikumi seat under the opposition party CHADEMA (Chama Cha Demokrasia Na Maendeleo) and has promised to unite all Tanzanian artistes under one banner, if elected.

His counterpart Afande Sele aka Suleiman Msindi will be eyeing the Morogoro seat under ACT party (Chama Cha Alliance for Change and Transparency)
